About

We understand that the decision on how a child should be educated is as unique as the child themself. We support a parent's right to choose to home educate or flexi-school their child in the way that best suits them. Please scroll down to see our range of options to support home-schooled children and families but if you don't see something that suits your needs we are open to suggestions.

Forest Friends

Children aged 5 upwards are able to experience Forest school and explore the beautiful surroundings at Whistlewood Common on Wednesday afternoons in Derbyshire term times. Parents can leave their child at our Ofsted registered setting confident that they will be well cared for and that their needs will be met. These sessions run on a high adult : child ratio and are led by fully qualified Forest School leaders with activities planned to meet the interests of the group. Sessions are booked as a half term block of around 6 weeks and cost £15 for a 3 hour session.  Our next block starts on 4th May 2022. Please contact us for more interest or book using the button below

Nature nursery

Early education doesn't have to stop at the age of 4 and children are welcome to attend our Nature nursery up to the age of 7 similar to other European countries where children start their formal education later. Primarily outdoors our days are child-led with lots of time for children to follow their own interests and be creative and explorative. See our Nature nursery page for more information
