We understand that the decision on how a child should be educated is as unique as the child themself. We support a parent's right to choose to home educate or flexi-school their child in the way that best suits them. Please scroll down to see our range of options to support home-schooled children and families but if you don't see something that suits your needs we are open to suggestions.
Children aged 5-7 are able to experience Forest school and explore the beautiful surroundings at Whistlewood Common alongside the children at our Nature Nursery. Parents can leave their child at our Ofsted registered setting confident that they will be well cared for and that their needs will be met. These sessions run on a high adult : child ratio and are led by fully qualified Forest School leaders with activities planned to meet the interests of the group. Sessions run on Tuesdays and Wednesdays on an ongoing basis in Derbyshire term times. (Holiday club is also available in school holidays) We offer the following two options:
9am - 3pm: £30
8.30am - 4pm: £40
We may be able to arrange one off or regular woodland sessions for home education family groups, please contact us with details of numbers so that we can provide a quote for this.
Forest School for older children
We may also be able to run group sessions for children aged 8 and over without parents attending. This would be based on a minimum 6 week booking of 2-3 hours to ensure children have time to settle in and really experience forest school. Please contact us with details of group size and needs for a quote.
